It's pretty well known the mods are a no-go for mac computers (because they don't like .exe) but isn't there some sort of development going on to help let Maccers become modders? If Starcraft is a .exe, and Mac users can use Starcraft, then they should be using something else other than the .exe to run Starcraft? Wouldn't you just need some sort of file converter to change the .exe files to a Mac-friendly file? If that were possible then people with Macs can enjoy mods (even if they still couldn't use the programs to make them.)

Mods do work on Macs...

Not in their exe form. But guess what? Memgraft mods don't really work in their exe form either, they work from the mpq.

If you add several files to the *.mpq of your mod, it can be used on a mac. I already released a mod once and a mac user made it into a mac version that way.

What files did you add to the MPQ, and in which program did you use to add them?

As I said, it wasn't me who made my mod mac-usable. It was a member of staredit.net named nuclearrabit. Unfortunatly, this member is now dead *takes a moment of silence* and I'm not sure what methed was used.
As much as I can tell, *.mpq may even work normally on macs, with no modifications to them, by having the mac user replace his/her original SC patch mpq with that... but I can't be sure.

You'll note there's an entire section at SEN for macintosh-oriented editing -- in addition to the list of mac software in the resources thread in this very forum, and google is also your friend Grim. Try it. :P

There is even a mac mpqdraft (But it only works on mac, so I can't test it)
