Hi, i am setting up this thread to help people like myself who are wishing to use the program Hamachi, but have little or no technical experience. As you may know, Hamachi is a program that allows LAN networking over the internet and is useful in a variety of situations. The main reason i would like to use Hamachi is so that i can play LAN games for Warcraft 3 with my friends several miles away, when battlenet is not an option. As far as i believe, the program may be able to support file and printer sharing and multiplayer on many other online/offline games. If someone could please talk myself through every step involved in setting the program up and getting it to work. Also, which games are/aren't supported by the program would be helpful.

I have created this thread, not only for me, but also for all those who don't have the technical knowledge for operations like this. I hope this helps many people, not just me.

Thx. Chris.

When battle.net "is not an option" meaning when you don't own a legit copy?

If any games ever need something like Hamachi it would certainly not be Blizzard games.

I dunno, I suppose you could use it for possible mods and such, but this is a way to let people who didn't buy Warcraft III or other games to play online.

actually, sometimes bnet sucks loads of dong and has problems regardless of the legality.

its rather simple to use, hamachi. you just create a network and have other people connect to it ;<

Yeah. Battle.net lags when you've got a crappy connection, or the person hosting has a crappy connection. OMFG ITS NOT BNET ITS ME?!?!1

Hmm, is it me or this can be of usefull help, especially when you just want to make a game with your friends from across the street/block. That way it'll prevent us to go onto B.Net just to find each other and host it there, keeping the game hosted nearer on the city's LAN and faster no doubt. ;)

*Meh* Won't publicly ask the link for it because of it's potential for legal infringement 'demeanors', though. :)

It's actually, because me and my friends only have 2 CD keys. Most of us have installed using the same ones, because weve lost them. We did buy the games though.
