here are 5 versions of a siggy I recently made. BTW, these are all PNG's. I have them saved as BMP's and XCF's also.

First one: This is a plain circuitboard siggy I made using Gimp.

Second one: here it is with an enlarged and recolored Dragoon from FF5

Third one: here it is with, I believe Starcraft font, that has been beveled I think the word was, and less foggyness. Don't ask how I got rid of the foggyness, just know that I did.

Fourth one: here it is with scanlines on the backround, but not on the dragoon or font.

Fifth one: here it is without scanlines, and for some reason, no font, but some foggyness. I guess the font had something to do with the foggyness being gone.

The fourth one is definetly the best, but I think you should add some style to your text.

What do you mean by style exactly? what font I use? what colors? what?

It can't have anything to do with your name after all. :smirk: Which reminds me, for photoshop, I knows how to make a Legend of Zelda font just like the one in the games, all red and 3d and depthy and shadowed and stuff, ya know? I plan on making a siggy with it sometime.

The picture you have used looks terrible. Im sure you can find a better one.
The background doesn't fit either, I'm afraid. Nor does it look particularly pretty.

I wouldn't pick any of them, to be honest. Keep trying.

If you're going to increase a sprite's size, don't anti-alias. It just looks wrong.

I agree with Mtank. Nothing really fits/flows together.

I agree with Mtank. Nothing really fits/flows together.anti-alias? Why does it need to fit/flow together? what if my style was to make totally random things out of the most unlikely stuff?

I'm with MTank.

Why not just use the background and text only?

I think that the pic doesn't need to be there - it just looks a lot weirder with it. What I'd do is change the font and make it a way so it's much easier to see (it may just be my horrible monitor).

Btw scanlines are teh overused.

A rule of spriting: Never enlarge small tiny complex sprites. They usually don't work that well, or look nice when enlarged too big.

If your going to put a sprite of Dragoon in your sig, you better double the origional size, make a bigger one(preferably 32-bit), or ask someone else(Not me).

EDIT: 444th post! I wish I wish I was a fish!
