Hi, i have recently started playing Warcraft 3 and wanted to host games on it. I unfortunately cannto due to my firewall status on my router. I had this problem before, and placed a thread on the site and it worked perfectly. Now however it is no longer letting me host games again and was wondering wheter port forwarding has anything to do with it. Can someone please explain what port forwarding is and how to configure it. Also, how to set up a static ip address, instead of configuring it everytime my computer starts and also how i would do this. Please help. Chris.

P.S. I have already allowed all incoming traffic through my router to my ip address, but it still does not work, but worked before. Is there any reason for this?

someone really should make a sticky with port forwarding and static IP info.........

1) create a static IP for your computer (ie 192.168.1.5)

2) set up port forwarding for TCP/IP and UDP on ports 6112-6119 to your static IP address

3) be happy.
