ok, as most of you all know, I've been incapacitated for nearly the past two weeks, with the constant fatigue, various pain everywhere, mono and such, the blisters on my hands from the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers and now as I was walking out of the bathroom I checked my teeth in the mirror (as I always do - "because a healthy smile is important :D") and stuck out my tongue only to find a kinda whitish blotch (about a quarter inch in diameter) on the right side of my tongue, and it's obvious too... I just noticed it today and haven't seen it before although it resembles an ulcer and that could be what it is since I've been stressed over being sick the past two weeks...
should I be concerned, and might this be something worse? :concern:

If you haven't, go check up with a doctor. Or if you don't like that, look up all the symptoms you might have on any medical website. That'll give you a quick diagnosis. And don't jump for the worst or the best case scenarios. Try and find the ranges first, and go from there. Find the one that's closest, and then say "Alright, now what," and go from there.
Sorry you haven't been feeling great, bro. Get well soon >.<;

thanks geno, I'm just really really really really sick of being sick and tired and i feel like not doing anything ever again (well at least for the next few weeks)
I would go to the doctor on campus but he comes in infrequently so I'm not sure when he'll be in (although maybe I should go to the wellness center after my first 2 classes and find out when he'll be back)
i'm also worried about these blister bumps on my hand that appeared after i used the mr clean magic erasers - i've had them for almost 3 days and they're annoying as hell - has anyone else experienced these kind of side effects with the eraser things?

Its is quite possibly allegic reaction to a chemical in it. I probably wouldn't worry but I'd discontinue use and be careful to wear gloves around cleaning products with similiar chemicals in it.

As for the thing of your tongue. You haven't been using MrCleanMagicEraser to try to clean your mouth have you? :P
Being sick sucks, hope you get better and even though I hate doctors they are usually worth going to.

You never know; if the Mr. Clean Eraser can clean any surface, perhaps it can also clean your teeth. :p
On a serious note, I'd take Geno's advice and either go see a doctor or look your symptoms up in a medical book or website.

Um, yeah. Skip the whole "self-diagnosis" thing and see a professional. You've got an extremely odd combination of symptoms that you shouldn't be trying to treat with chicken soup and a "can do" attitude.

ok I just got back from the doctor and he said the sore on my tongue is a canker sore caused by whatever virus I had last week (it should go away on its own), the soreness of my gums around my wisdom teeth could be infected slightly so he gave me penicillin for 10 days, and for the mr clean blisters he gave me hydrocortizone to calm down the inflammation - all in all everything seems to be fairly manageable, just scary if you don't know what it is :)

I trust that he prescribed you penicillin shots and you're speaking of losing the soreness!?! A week from now I can wager that your ass is gonna be sore and not the gums... :smirk:

no, penicillin pills, like 3 times a day for 10 days
the penicillin is for the gum infection i have (my wisdom teeth are coming in and food will get trapped under the gums and cause an infection sometimes) the reason the penicillin will work is cuz the slight infection is irritating and inflamming my gums arond and above the teeth (these is tissue on top of the teeth still and when i bite down i hit the sensitive gums) so the penicillin will help in that way

Why would he need to be getting shots? I wager you know nothing of medicine...
