I just want to say my computer doesn't crash, at least not since I got a video card that works. People are repeatedly saying Windows is so unstable, but I put it through its paces... and it stands firm. I think yall just have some broken hardware or something.

Windows could be a bit more stable, but mostly its because people dont know use it correctly and therefore it "crashes". Since I mean any OS can crash, so people are just to lazy to use it correctly. So they will have to suit themselves.

In my opinion, Windows XP is a very stable and efficient operating system - you just have to know how to use it properly. I've seen a windows XP that could be confused with a windows ME or worse, and my own windows XP only crashes once out of every 1500 uses. And when it does crash, I can usually pinpoint the exact problem and either fix it or avoid it in the future. Or complain to the software companies if the problem is beyond my control :P
And they say Macs never crash? well do they realize that macs can only do half of the things a PC can do?

False and mostly false. =p
XP isn't nearly as unstable as the home versions that preceded it. I believe the NT core has something to do with that. I definitely prefer XP to 98, which is the only other Windows that I have extensively used.

yeah maybe it can hold stability, but thats not really the worst of its problems.

I'll agree, however there are still some problems. But all Microsoft programs have a tendancy to crash now and then. Take a look at the Xbox 360, people were complaining that even that crashed or brough up error screens now and then. :\

Microsoft XP can run my internet, SC, SC editor, my music and not crash. Most problems are people with pentium II's running pentium III or higher required software, or having not enough RAM, old Direct X, low MB hard drive, old video/sound cards...It's not microsoft usually, it's the computer itself that matters.
