Today is the Spring Day, Chinese new year. That means we're entering the Year of the Dog now.
In my family, we're celebrating this occasion this year because of our Chinese exchange student. And it's a good excuse to eat dumplings! (Man, dumplings own!) :D

My family and I went out with some friends to have a nice lunch, and we're going to do the same for dinner. We also watched the official Chun Jie Wan Hui on CCTV last night.
And to the rest of you, Gong Ye Fa Chai, Xing Nian Quai Le!

Happy Chinese New Year!
Me? I sat around and studied for my History Exam (it's tommorow). Woohoo. I'm also not Chinese so that may have something to do with it ;D.

I watched the parade today :D. A dragon went up to a second story resturant and kinda got stuck--they had to disassemble it for it to get back out :/. But the cool thing is I got to play with those paper confetti "fireworks", and went deaf for a second from the firecrackers. The ending was cool--right when it was about to end, it began to pour, and I just watched the chaos of people trying to get outta the storm xD.

I celebrated as I always do; went to the Great Wall (a restaurant, not the real thing unfortunately) and had Wonton Soup, an Egg Roll, a dozen Chinese doughnuts and some sake with Xiangua, the owner. Good times.
Happy Year of the Dog!
