I'm not a particularly great artist, but I thought I'd try for some input on what I've done.

Better than I ever drew. I can't draw hands at all... sad, I know. But good drawings nonetheless. But like my annoying* Canadian friend said, more detail.
* = A FUCKING JOKE.

I know the scans dont really show it, but these are mostly done on a 4"x6" notepad, with the exception of a couple of the angel ones. And with nothing but a .7mm(or are they .07mm, I cant remember) Mechanical pencil, I had trouble doing anything finely detailed.
As for details themselves, do you mean more folds in the cloth, bolts on the weapons, or what?

Some of the faces were devoid of any features except eyes...

You're good. You have a lot of potential. I don't know how you could improve because I suck at drawing, but maybe you could take drawing classes (Not an insult).

Seconded. I like your style though. I tend to attack it from a more realistic approach so I end up driving myself insane.
