Kanye West poses as Jesus (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/people_kanye_west;_ylt=Ah7xP0smpIGmO4XWPs7QUn5RF78 C;_ylu=X3oDMTA3YXYwNDRrBHNlYwM3NjI-)

Ok, he also poses as Muhammad Ali (so it evens itself out) but still, what a complete fuckhead... I never liked Kanye West but it never affected me until his tirade against Bush claiming that "President Bush doesn't care about black people"... Honestly, it's like he's claiming that everyone is against him for no reason and that his outbursts and bitching about things that don't matter aren't a contributing factor into why people don't like him...
If I was more complacent and I let things slide, my life would be easier, but you all wouldn't be as entertained; My misery is your pleasure.
What a false-martyr SOB...
The strangest tangent of the Rolling Stone story, however, is when West says he's addicted to pornography. He remembers first seeing his father's Playboy magazine when he was 5 years old.
Kanye, sorry, but normal people (like the people who you were so concerned about in New Orleans) have bigger problems than being addicted to porn.
Seriously, Kanye West doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy.

How does posing as a famous boxer even itself out?

Uhm, this may be a stupid question but.... who is Kayne West? And why is he complaining? And what does him posing as Jesus and Muhammad Ali have to do with anything? o_o
Yeah... I don't get out much....

Not being a black person living in America myself, I don't think I'm really in a position to accept or dispute his claim.
I like Kanye West. He's more real than most rappers, and he doesn't just sing about how rich he is etc. A lot of his lyrics are quite political, and I like that. He doesn't like Bush, and I like that about him too. He was featured in Time Magazine a month ago or so, and based on the article, I went out and bought his latest album. I can't say I liked all of the songs, but I did like a few and that's saying a lot for me.
I don't really care if he's real. I actually find it enjoyable to watch an act, and find out that the person behind the act is a kind and respectable human being. Yes, he's honest, and he's very candid, but he's....how shall I put it, stupid.
If anyone heard his entire speech from the Katrina fundraiser, you would have to conclude that the guy is either mentally unstable or just ignorant beyond help. He proclaims himself to be a hypocrite by saying that he turns off the TV to avoid the coverage, then he goes on to say that "his people" are down there suffering. If "his people" are suffering, then why wasn't he down there handing out truck loads of relief supplies? I can't find any mention of him donating money for Katrina victims? In fact, the only time I heard a single mention from him was that very day that he stole the spotlight from the Katrina victims so he could spread his own political message which is at the very least, inaccurate.
I'll listen to the Barbara Streisands, the Martin Sheens, the Alan Aldas and the Harry Belafontes of the world; they, at the very least, have some foundation for their angst. Meanwhile, instead of holding GWB responsible for all devastation from Katrina, Mr. West accuses Bush of being against Black people? Excuse me? The reliefs efforts were a failure from the top down. Yes, GWB made stupid decisions placing an inept crony in FEMA, yes the National Guard was not mobilized properly, and yes, there was a complete breakdown of support during the first week after landfall. Where can anyone conclude that this lack of preparation was an intentional act by GWB, much less a deliberate snub to black people?
In Kanye West's mind, that's where.
If I were a Christian, which I'm not, I would burn Rolling Stone magazines in the street. And not for a single reason that I listed above. Anyone that appoints themselves a martyr, much less a martyr comparable to the figure of Jesus Christ should be beat in the streets. The funny thing here is that "we" have created this self-proclaimed martyr. By criticizing his behavior on the relief program, we have given him cause for self-loathing. I like his music, but I won't listen to it.
Love ya Kanye.
/me yawns
Oooops! Did I actually fall asleep in one of Nuts' vigorous defences of GWB?
Woah, Nuts that was the strangest post-responses I've read in awhile O_o
And Xenon Nuts said in the middle somewhere in there that GWB made a stupid decision, so if he was defending him it seemed like a pretty poor way to do it.

Why was it strange Neo?
And yes, I hold GWB ultimately responsible for failures in many areas of Katrina. Bush is far from perfect, but when asked to vote for one dick over another, I had to go with the dick that would lean closer to my ideals than the next. Trust me, I have no love lost for GWB at this point in time.
Shame on Xenon for making such an assumption.
Well you went on a rather long rant that boiled down to "kayne's a dumbass" ;)

I wanted to make certain that my feelings were clear on the subject. :)
I wanted to make certain that my feeling were clear on the subject. :)Further proof that Nuts is a heartless capitalist cyborg. He only has one feeling! He was only programmed to respond to attacks on Bush with one feeling; "Must correct mis-con-ception, Bush == Good!". In actual fact, Nuts has only pseudo-feelings due to the fact that his cold lead heart and nausetronic brain are artifacts of man and cannot replicate feelings exactly! ;)
EDIT: Oh sure, go back and fix it once I blow your cover!
Ahem, edited before your reply. It's early yet and I only have one cup of coffee to my name. Grammer aren't good in teh merning. ;)
Only a cup of coffee to your name?! Is it really true? Have I finally bankrupted you and forced you into a life of destitution and poverty? Huzzah! The evil cyborg is defeated! :D

This might explain a lot. Especially his desktop -- heh.
Nuts if quotes weren't off in lala land I would so add that to them "Grammer aren't good in teh merning." Hehe.

I submit to the ways of the dark side so long as you have more coffee.
I'll bet you never knew that Neo-Cons ran on coffee.
~The more you know
Edit: Thank you Neo, it's the thought that counts. ;)

West is like a lot of other Hollywood acts: opinionated and uneducated. So any time he opens his yap, I generally expect to hear something borderlined retarded. The fact that he's black or that he elects to spend his camera time to jibberjabber about racial inequalities instead of saving the desert snails or flying on helicopters around the world on a mission to protect the environment has no real impact for me: his music is OK and as a person he's nothing special.
I'm not surprised that he wants to be seen as a martyr instead of a loudmouth--which I'm assuming is the reasons for his various poses. I don't think I could ever pose as Christ.
Edit: And FYI peeps, it's spelled "grammar". :P

I heard of Kanye West before I read that Time Article, and I found it a little exaggerated. I've heard a few of his songs. Some of them are better than most rap, while others are just stupid. Like you, I like how his lyrics aren't related to how rich he is.
The_Maker: Kanye West is a famous rapper, who gained popularity recently. He is infamous for dissing George Bush on a Red Cross telethon.
LTGF: Yes, I did read the article.
