Map Pool

As Genocide asked me in such a nice manner, which maps can be used to play games on? As he also phrased in such a sophisticated way, I don't want to be playing on a map I don't know and my opponent uses all the time. Well, any map in the solo ladder map pool is acceptable. Off the top of my head, here they are.

Time Zones

Time zones are as follows;

GMT = GMT. (For those of you who live in a cave, 12pm GMT is 12pm in Britain, and all other times are measured from that.)
CET = GMT+1.
EST = GMT-5.
PST = GMT-8.
KOR = GMT+9.

Any additional timezones appreciated.

Please also keep arrangement-making to PMs. Do not post threads in the forum, PM your opponent. Questions should either be raised in this thread or PMed to me.

Guys, can we cut down on the spam posts? It's supposed to be a result/replay thread, not a meandering conversational thread. This will be fun to look back at and it'd be nice if we could get into immediately pertinent thread information / replays and not have to parse through tens of dumb bullshit posts to get to the interesting stuff.

EEC, if you have some sort of problem with playing or not playing talk to RedRag. If you want to persist with your dumb spam shit that you perpetuate in the ML, I'm going to start reporting your posts to have your shit either deleted or you banned. Again.

Do you think you can take a break from oh-so-difficult college and figure out the time difference between EST and CET? That was just lazy and pointless...even if it HAD to be said, you could have kept it in PMs.

GA is right. Much better to keep this to PMs. As for other issues;

Firstly: Yoda raised a valid point that not everyone can host custom games. We'll need a list of custom game 'hosters' as such, so that if neither party can host then we can appoint a neutral party.

Secondly: I'll post a list of various time zones in the original thread.

We discussed about towers in the previous thread. Is the 5 tower limit still in effect? (expos etc.) And are towers allowed to be used offensively?

I'm fairly certain that the consensus was that any tower limit rules imposed is total bullshit and not acceptable. While some felt that it might cause problems with overall gameplay, the majority felt it wasn't worth sacrificing the game dynamic.

Does anyone actually mass towers here? I don't, and I don't know of anyone else that has posted replays of them towering and turtling. I think the majority of people here are decent players with more conventional strategy. Anyone?

This is what the majority of people seem to think, so I will bow to pressure and post it. Or I would if I had the replay. May I remind everyone, though, that the main reason for posting the replays was not so that other people could see them but for people to make sure that the result was fair.

Now why do I make my practice(?) smurfs? Remember that I disc so I don't have a good win percent? Now my reasons of smurfing is because (a) I do not want my competitive account to suck, just like I dont think you would want yours to either, and (b) staying with one smurf only and eventually having a bad score *4-7* or something will lead to getting worse players which is no good practice.

When there's a twos tourney going on or a solo tourney and RANDOM STRANGERS start messaging me about playing in a tourney, I generally ignore them as people I don't know. Believe it or not, I tend to enjoy FREQUENT SPAM from RANDOM STRANGERS that want me to join their clan, play in the tourney with them, check out this custom game, come create a clan with them (they'll let me be sham!!1!1!), AT with them, or give an opinion on this topic or the other.

I'm fairly certain that if you want to be put in the league you're going to have to post an account and log on with it consistently for a while. If you're smurfing, starting new accounts all the time, or otherwise acting like a noob retard, nobody's going to play you because you're not on their Flist and they won't know when you're on b.net. It seems most people keep swapping accts and nicks and expecting to find people...it doesn't really work that way.

Haha, may I be allowed to elaborate? Basically, I played really, really badly during the first five minutes. For no apparent reason, I imagined I was playing an Orc mirror and fast teched. We were in fact both Random. I can assure you, I was a bit embarrassed.

On a more serious note, I've had a PM from Darkslayer today, and people seem to be worried about the general activity among league players. It really isn't looking good, the inactivity among lower division members (naming no names) and inability to keep a commitment by some is leading to only half to a quarter of B players being able to play. I'm not holding much hope for the B division, but if the players who are still interested want to arrange games as and when they want and just send me the results, then by all means, feel free. The A division has at least had some activity, and I'm still hoping that we can get some games played, but I'll wait a bit longer before taking any action.

May I elaborate? I was competing fairly well up until he got his FS to L2 and popped out a FS, then I broke off to creep more effectively and avoid the chain lightning smacking of my ghouls. Then at tier 2, he got a creepjack with somewhat inferior forces in which I fought him back with heavy losses.

After that, he was pretty much clear winnar if we would have engaged (forced me to TP w/ensnare after I stole a creep)--he took it to my base and razed a constructing building and gave me a few spells for my trouble of defending. It wasn't until tier 3 that I had fiends and destroyers that things pretty much got wrapped up. And you could have come after my expo, but you would have had to contend with the towers and I would have wiped your towers in the meantime. ;)

get everyone to goto one server, everyone can open a new account just for
the league.

I will suggest this again, just my opinion, no offence.
