Introductions are in order. I'm Edgewize, the man behind the curtain at Warcraft.org -- as a full-time student and part-time coder, I'm responsible for the total LACK of updates on that site.

This is the official forum of Warcraft.org, and I'll be hard at work for the next few weeks to make that clear - I won't be happy if this site is just successful; I want nothing short of Total Internet Domination for the .ORG network!

Edit: of course Starcraft.org is part of the .ORG network, I just didn't mention it since I'm not staff there! :rolleyes:

Yea, I feel this will be my spam board now. I feel I need to RP all of a sudden... I mean, it's a fresh board with no newbies! Nothing can go wrong now! Wewt! Time to post it up.

Also, we can have our own map team here... I just thought of that... If RC doesn't want to let us have warboards in our sigs, I don't think he will allow us to make reference to it in BlizzSCUMS, so I don't know. If we did move, half of us would be banned, because he thinks "We're here first, back off," but in reality, it was one of those things... Also, If we can't have BlizzSCUMS here, I'm getting out of it at BF and going to go solo a while. I have a few projects I am working on that I didn't deem worth of BS material, mostly because they are open ended. DD always wanted good, hard ideas, which aren't coming from these maps. I may be idea developer extrodanaire, but in this... It will be amazing... Either that, or just some newbish map.. o.O

You know, there was a lot that went on over there... I really hope it doesn't become the 'Who's in power' Guessing thing again... I mean, for a while, it looked like Chronoss was running everything, then RC took over, and finally AJ had the lead up until he lead. Basically, to get a word in, you have to talk to the favorite in like 5 posts a day.. It wasn't fun... I couldn't suggest anything good, because I would get shot at by them... Hitmen all over... Blizzforums mods/admins are too familar with the ban stick. You actually had to worry about what you were posting in fear of getting a ban, and half the time what you were banned for was posted in some remote forum you had never visited before.

I mean, not to say BF was perfect in any way, but their forum areas were pretty good. WC there, SC there, Diablo there, etc. You know what I mean? As it stands, there are two main forums, with subforum, and branch forums (That's what I call them at least... After running my own kinds of forums for a while, this was one of the first times I've seen your kind of wording...). I don't know, but it feels empty. Is this going to be permanant, or will we expect changes?

Right now we just make things more simplified by trying to stick with the K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid) standard. SC, SC:Ghost, WC, and Diablo all have their own forums/subforums.

If there's a lot of demand for, say, a Star Wars: Galaxies forum, then the staff will work it out and put up a forum for it. There won't be anything new for a few weeks of course - we want to let these boards get settled before we make new additions. But the option is always there!

We can't rename people for a few days while I work on some integration features between Warcraft.org and WarBoards.org ... it'll break all sorts of things.

And even then, current rules say that usernames can't begin or end in a punctuation mark. I'll take a look at exactly why that rule is in place and maybe relax it a bit, but not right now ... we can't change your name for a few days anyway. Sorry :)

Well, after the events ofter the past couple days, I couldn't care less what AJ thinks. He lied repeatedly, and I'd be surprised if he was done.


AJ and DC were both explained in the original post, if you read it. Exedore has not made any comments, to my knowledge, about leaving, perhaps you meant Edgewize. There were 4 moderators removed, 3 of who were not active. I wouldn't classify that as a "hell of a lot", and I think you'll see over the next few weeks there is no impact on the operation of BlizzForums.

If you have any further questions, I'll be glad to answer.

DC was usually a model member, but she would form opinions of people and then apply it to everything they did. It was a detriment to her work, and unfortunately, led to her involvement here. I'd also warn you about people who will tell you things that aren't true to get you to do what they want.

Just wanted to let you know of that update to everyone who was banninated from the forums... o.O
