Hey! I'm bored and want to locate some of you guys for the sheer fun of it by using Google Earth! Just put down your post code so i can see where abouts you live! And don't worry, it's not some live webcam thing where i can watch your every move. Juts wanna take a look at the surrounding area!

Type in "m15 5eb" and you'll Zoom right in on my house. Underneath all those crazy tower blocks!!:D

Meh, my town's satellite picture sucks due to it being a small town in a nowhere country. Just type Karlstad, Sweden and you'll see the town. Really, it sucks. -_-

Okay. Well you still can't have it. It's mine, and I am gonna keep it that way. Besides, I already posted my zipcode on Warboards once before, if you didn't see it, or you weren't even a memeber here at the time, well that's your fault now isn't it? Just kidding. Its umm..... omg, I don't know what it is. That's sad. Hold on.

Yeah, Vänern. Or as it is in English, Lake Väner. Karlstad's quite a nice town actually, and we have Sweden's by vote ugliest statue. The Statue of Peace in the Big Square.

Though Google Earth does suck...I think the pictures of Belfast were taken during the seventys...You mean they used a picture taken in the seventies? Man, thats old. That's also sad, seeing as how we have like five billion satellites taking pictures of earth all the time.

That place looks pretty nice!!

Pixels' place:
Its looks pretty dusty and isolated, but i'm sure it's not like that now because the program is so freaking old.

Don't you think Google Earth live would be fun? You could Zoom in on people and hit them with the lense!:D

EvilEggCracker

Google Earth live would be amazing! Imagine talking to people on IRC and then zooming in on their house and watching them walk out of their house and waving to you! Though, itd be probobly too hard (and costly)to implement...

Whenever I look at it, I see the same damn picture of the Colloseum every time. Same clouds, same cars, same everything. It never changes, and I did download the latest version.

If you want to see where everyone on this forum lives, mabey you should try http://www.frappr.com/
it allows you to create a kinda profile for a forum, in which people can add themselfes, and it shows all the people who have added themselfs to it on a world map (with there name and a picture of them next to where they live)

I can't remember the name of the thread, and I didn't even know about it until like a month after the thread was made, so yeah.

GrimTerror

I didn't see any planes!:(

It seems that google earth has images from different satellites. Some are much better than others, allowing for clear images at 1000ft. Others only come clear at 6000ft. Google needs to get its satellite act together.

Edit: Check out the eiffel tower! It looks dead funny and bent!

What did you expect, clear resolution pics? Google's way to cheap to spring for any good qualitiy Satallites, and way to poor might I add, given that are very rich, but no that rich...

Only a few states have high resolution graphics (indiana for one XD) but if you zoom in on places like new york you can actually switch to 3d models of the buildings there. Pretty cool.

And google is fucking huge, and rich.

I don't think anyone knows how much they actually have.
