Basically, it's a program that does calculations to try to find patterns in radio waves that may be caused by aliens. It won't take very much RAM on your computer. You can set it to run only as your screensaver or all the time.

We need a Warboards team for SETI, not the Fenguin one. Fenguin is for Fenguin. Unless everybody here joins Fenguin... ;)

Why would we want to make alien contact? If they're smarter than us, they can come over here and enslave us.

Folding@Home (http://www.stanford.edu/group/pandegroup/folding/) > Seti@Home IMO. You have a chance to save people's lives instead of searching for something that probably won't be found for at least another 100 years.
