Are there any reports of people taking harddrives from their computer and merging it with a cheap mp3 player? Like, taking the mp3 player screen and processor and connecting it to the harddrive so it could play music?

I mean, because It would be awesome if I could do that with my old Mp3 and old 20 gig hard drive, make a case for it and show it to my friends :P

Anyone know?

Considering that a hard drive is magnetic storage and an mp3 player works with flash memory, I would imagine that to be a very difficult feat.

So I'd have to plug it in. Same level of comic effect xD

Eh, I was wrong? No, it can't be that. I was almost wrong once, back in 1978, but to my relief, I found out I was only mistaken.

Seriously, that's cool.

Many MP3 players use hard drives. The iPod and many Creative MP3 players use 1.8" drives. Generally if they hold more than a few gigabytes it's a hard drive.

I love how the iPod with the 200 gig HD had 6 minutes of battery life.
