have you tried going to add/remove programs. to remove any programs that YOU yourself didn't install. Or the windows programs. i.e. winservice pack2

You have the new WMF vulnerability virus thing that everyone is talking about. I had it too, it's a pain in the ass to remove. But here's the fix:

http://www.infopackets.com/channels/en/windows/nicks_computer_security/2005/20051220_remove_spyaxe_removal_instructions.htm
Follow all the instructions and download all that crap. Once you get rid of the virus though, you can stop using that ewido shit if you don't want to.

Ranjan', may I advise ya to quit on the Spyware Doctor too (especially if it's supposedly freeware)? I don't exactly recall if that was the one a friend of mine said to be made by add/spyware authors, but I could almost swear on it.

Btw, it might also be of good help to follow Neo's advices (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=4133) on similar topic. Those helped me a lot in the past. ;)

You might try running all these legitimate programs (such as SpySweeper) in safe mode since in safe mode the viruses should not be able to run and you can delete them while they're not running.

The most efficient virus/spyware removal tool I've used is McAfee. I got a two month free trial with my new computer, and so far I havent seen anything whatsoever.
