In Arsenal three unit editor (or weapon editor, been a while since i made a mod:P) You have this value called max hits. I'm not quite sure what it does myself, and DemonicArchon asked me just now about it. Whats the correlation between max hits and the damage of the weapon?
I'm creating this thread so DA can find his answers, but i'd like to know too! Answers please:D

Oh yeah, this is a good question for the FAQ.
Max hits actually don't do anything in the game, they just control what is displayed in the map editor when you start changing weapon damages. They're there to remind map makers that some weapons hit multiple times. As far as I've tested, changing the number of max hits never has any effect in-game, but Blizzard have helpfully set the max hits to appropriate values so that map makers know how many hits a weapon can do.

Thank you alot for this bst. I asked grim about damage, because when i was testing before i set my max hits to like 4, and my marine damage to like 18 to test it and it was doing like 30 for some reason and i thought it had something to with that. Thank you again.
Doesn't it also controll how many times a wepon bounces like the Glave Wrum?

Max hits? No, Glave wurm is hard coded. It's something Arsenel probolly can't change.

Really hard coded?? I thought.... oh I'm thinking of adding the bounce code to other units.

Yeah, I wish it could increase the number of bounces a bouncing weapon makes, that'd be cool. But yeah, it's hardcoded.
