I have taskbar set to be over all other screens...

Why can't you access it while in ff fullscreen? Is there an option to allow taskbar use while in this mode?

By taskbar do you mean your Windows Taskbar? Mine shows up fine in fullscreen mode in Firefox.

Do you have your taskbar set to auto-hide? Oh, and my taskbar is at the top of the screen. Would that affect it?

isn't the taskbar supposed to disappear when you're in full screen? I mean, "maximize" is full-screen with a taskbar, "fullscreen" is ultra-fullscreen, without a taskbar. Or at least that's how it works in IE.

Must be what Hammock' said, Sik'. Done a test run mimicking the settings you've spoken of n' it worked like a charm. ;)

I know it does...

I want it to be maximized (no File/Edit/View bar...) but to still be able to see the taskbar.

well one way to get the viewable screen to be that size would be the following

it wouldnt get rid of the file/edit bar but it would create the same effect

unmaximize the window, so that you can change the size of the window by dragging the edges of the window

then click on the top bar and drag it up until its all the way off the screen (in other words, you can no longer see the title bar)

then click the bottom edge and drag it down until you hit the taskbar

voila, you get an extra centimeter of space...or whatever

I have my start bar set to auto-hide, so when in full screen and I need to access the bar I just move my mouse to the bottom of the screen and voila it's there.

Wouldn't it be simpler if you simply went to "taskbar" properties and set it to not "auto hide"? Just an humble suggestion, though.
/me stops being a 'prick' *

And in my test the result was similar to what UnHoly' stated above (this post), btw. ;)
