So I got a laptop for Christmas, my dad got this people from Comcast to change the Desktop from a cable connection to wireless connection so my laptop can access the internet too. When I play StarCraft or sometimes access the internet my desktop computer gets really now. I saw that the Comcast people connected a wireless adaptor to the desktop, I thought using a wireless adaptor for the desktop was unnecessary, I saw some cords (one look like a phone line and one was a USB cable thing) they left behind and plugged them from the wireless thing into the computer. It didn't really matter, it was same as before. So I think the wireless connection thing is just being stupid.

On my desktop computer most of the times it would say "Cable Connection Not Connected" or "Wireless network unavailable.", when that happens I would go to my internet connections and press "repair".

On the thing is says "NetGear" and the Comcast people installed a different program for the computer to use the wireless adaptor.

Anyways, is there anyway to fix my internet connection, or do I have to get use to play laggy games in StarCraft?

The first rule of thumb is check ur firewalls. If that doesn't work, take out the wireless PC card that was in ur desktop (presumably not in use) and put it somewhere where it won't get broken. After you do that, Buy some ethernet cables and hook A: ur router to ur DSL modem. And B: hook ur router to ur desktop. That should resolve the lagg problems for the desktop. Since both of ur computers were using the wi-fi, it should free up the lagg for ur laptop, and Desktop.

Hope It works

oh yea, and installing the program that goes with the wireless card, will probably fix it 2, if u don't want to make a hybred network

O thanks, I recently found out that the wires were sleping off, which is kinda lame :\. So, ya I need to get better wire cables... and the hybred network thing, Im assuming that'll make my internet super fast? ;)
