How do you take a screen capture in Windows Media Player, while watching a movie? If you press the 'PrtSc' key on the keyboard and past it in Mspaint, it only shows this wierd black box.

Since windows media video is accelerated by hardware, there is no way to capture the final output using the Print Screen key. A program like FRAPS will allow you to, though (and it's free!).

you can screen capture in windows media player but you have to go to tools > options > performance > advanced > and deselect "use overlays" in the "acceleration" box and "DVD video" box (if you are screen capturing from a DVD)
