I'm making a DVD of a miniseries I downloaded and it says that the dimensions (576x432) cannot be used with the 29.95 framerate... So I changed the dimensions to the default 320x240 (which is still a 4:3 ratio)... My question is if making the dimensions smaller will hurt how it looks on TV cuz I'm not entirely sure what the standard dimensions are on today's TVs (I thought it was 640x480 but I'm not sure)

thanx to anyone who can help me out on this :)

A typical NTSC TV set displays 480 lines, so its resolution is basically 640×480. It sounds like that your source material is not NTSC. Can you not perform a conversion to the required bitrate?

What software are you using for this project?

Grab a program called DVDSanta (don't ask, uhm, its a retail product, buto nly if you dont know where to go >_>;;).

At any rate.

It will convert damn near anything to dvd formats, without restrictions that Nero has (Which is annoying, since paying for nero you'd think it would convert any video files I have to dvd formats without me having to go purchase more nero crap).

At any rate, theres no reason that it can't reformat the movie to dvd format regardless of its current format.
