txt edit help plz!!

Ok im making my first mod and for the most part everything is working. However, im using TblPad to edit names and such, i opened the broodwar i extraced the files and i changed the names. But when i put it in as Stat_Txt.tbl under the mod folder it wont save changes so it has Modding Home(main folder)\my first mod\stat_txt.tbl then i put it in the compactor n all that but it still wont save changes. Can anyone help?

stats_txt.tbl goes in my first mod\rez\stats_txt.tbl
