I recently bought Star wars Knights of the Old Republic. It told me I failed to meet one of the requirements. So I tried it anyway and it worked, but after one stage it starts to crash on me. So I tried to get that requirement. It's something called a openGL 1.4 driver, I have 1.3. I've gotten numerous kinds of files that have the drivers for it, but I don't know how to install it. If anybody can help I'd be really grateful. I use a windows xp btw.

I use a windows xp which is pc. I have all of the requirements except the opengl 1.4. The driver for it is what I need to replace.

Basically I want to know how to uninstall the opengl driver. I haven't found it in my computer.

I'm pretty sure that OpenGL comes with your video card drivers. Try updating those. Or try playing the game in DirectX mode.

I have opengl, it's just that i have 1.3 instead of 1.4. I'm trying to uninstall it and reinstalling the 1.4 driver.
How do you play in directx mode?

I'm not sure, but since a requirement is DirectX9, I assume you can do it. Try going into Options>Video and see if you can change it there.

Seriously, does anybody know how to uninstall the openGL driver?

You typically don't have to uninstall it if it's an upgrade, especailly since OpenGL drivers come with videocard drivers.

Have you even tried any of my suggestions?

You mean fiddlin' with the video options? Yes, I've looked at every option. I haven't found anything. I think I'll just upgrade like you said and see the results.
Somone told me though, that if I want to upgrade the driver I need to uninstall the old one first. I'm not sure. Thanks anyway.

No, what WL is trying to tell is for ya to update/get a newer version of DirectX n' install it. Since many games nowadays don't come with it or the version that comes is outdated (which both have happened to me before), I seriously think that you should try n' update it just to see if a more recent version of DirectX will suffice to quell your problems. ;)

I'm just saying if that DirectX is a requirement, you should probably be able to play using it.

Also, no, you do not need to uninstall the old driver before the new one.

I already have directx 9.0, which the newest one right? It's exactly the requirement for star wars KOTOR. So I tried uninstalling the driver and installing the new one. It actually worked and I upgraded, but it's still not enough. The game still crashes. Thanks for your help WL. I won't try to upgrade to a new graphics card though. I bought KOTOR for 20 bucks and its not worth it to upgrade with to 100 dollar card.
