System not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications

Hello Motocrosser, and welcome to Warboards,

Microsoft support has a relevant article (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324767/en-us), but it takes a while to get the files fixed and configured.
A search has revelead that there exists an automatic program (http://visualtour.com/downloads/) for this purpose, downloadable from the VirtualTour website. I have not used this program, so use it at your own risk. But it should work.

VB4run.exe (assuming it's the correct file (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q196286/) from Microsoft) should be run as an executable, not extracted. You could, I assume, do that if you wished, but the self-extracting program will place the files into the right directory.

I just double click VB4run and it brings up a program call Winzip Self-Extractor[vb4run.exe] and ask to unzip or run Winzip

Thnx for all the help but i just got pissed and moved the file vb40032.dll to Windows/systems manualy

Okay, that works too. The self-extraction dialog was expected behavior; I thought you were asking whether you should manually extract the file or not :)
But I see that the problem is now solved. Does MPQCompactor work now?
