Im going to be upgrading my computer next summer. I already have a crazy computer but Im going for the best of the best of the best. The primary use of this new computer will be gaming.

Some things I will definately get (the rest of the system revolves around these):

2 GeForce 7800 GT to SLI
2 or more 4200 (or faster) AMD processors (obviously 64-bit) (as fast as physically possible and as many processors as physically possible)
4 GB RAM to dual channel (whatever fastest speed is right now)

I am looking to buy a new version of the following to support/go along with the above:

Motherboard
500 GB SATA3 (3 is the fastest to-date correct?)
DVD Burner (fastest burn speeds available for DVD+RW)
Large case (meaning larger than 17" tall, 6" wide, and 18" long)
Decent or amazing TV-Tuner-capable card
Amazing power supply for all my crap
Additional fans (MUST BE SILENT!) to cool my incredibly hot hardware

My knowledge of computers is extensive but not comparitively speaking. Can anyone help me by providing names of parts and price estimates? Believe me, I understand this will be expensive, and it will take me a while to get this machine.

Your help is appreciated!

O! Current specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
1 GB RAM
MSI MS-7100
200 GB SATA3

and other less notable hardware.

The Athlon 64 cannot be used in multiprocessor machines. The only AMD processor that can be used in a multiprocessor setup is the Opteron which costs a bit more and adds a bunch of wrinkles to your setup, so I would go with a single dual core Athlon 64 instead.

SATA II (2) is the fastest SATA spec at the moment, although most drives barely reach the bandwidth in the SATA I spec (150 Mbps) so SATA II does not give much of a performance boost at the moment.

Some price specifics on the expensive components:
GeForce 7800GT ~ $300 x 2 = $600
Hauppauge PVR 350 TV Capture Card ~ $170
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ ~ $787
Seagate Barracuda 500GB drive ~ $343

Some random guesses on the other components:
Motherboard ~ $100
DVD Burner ~ $50
Large case ~ $75
Good PSU ~ $100
4GB RAM ~ $400

Which brings the grand total to about $2,600 for the box (no keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc.) Granted, the prices of a lot of these components will go down by next summer. I'd venture to guess it would cost at least $500-$750 less in 18 months time.

and some of the mother baords and cpus
are pretty good priced, as for the dual
socket part socked 604 is the only dual
one i've seen (yet)

Edit: as for prossors i think 2 of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819117027) would
go nice if you got w/ a socked 604 board

dunno know what your gonna do about sound
but ide susgest this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102171) if not just for the games alone
