Need help on with units

Hi i have a question how do you change a units damage and health or is it not possible i think it is because i have seen it in lots of maps. Please help me

PS: i dont mean doing upgrades what i mean is if a unit had 100 health how can i make it to 800?

Open staredit.exe (or any other editor you use), press Ctrl+Shift+H, and change the states of whatever you want.

I'd suggest you to take a look at the help files of the editor before going on.
