Well, I downloaded Azureus... But, in order to get faster DL's, I need to open a port.

That's the thing, I have no idea how to open ports.Hell, I don't even know where to find them...

So, if anyone can help me out, that would be awesome!

It really depends on what kind of ports you're opening.... router, firewall, etc..

If you can let me know, we can try helping you out.

The Azureus wiki has the answers to all your problems:

Increase download speed:

What ports not to use:

You should also realize that the way Azures works is by having you download the files from many people at once -- if there are only a few people sharing the file, the download will be slow. But if there are hundreds of people sharing the file, the download should be prety fast. If you open ports and it still seems like the downloads are slow, keep in mind that it also depends on how many people are hosting the file at the time you're downloading it.

Well, what I noticed is, the little face in front of the DL name. Always stays yellow. Then a little popup shows, saying there are no ports available. :)

Did you look at the documents I posted above? They have solutions for what you're descibing. It sounds like you have a NAT problem.

Basically to "open ports" means to make an "allow" rule in your firewall for Azueres and a "forward to my computer" rule (aka port forwarding) on your router if you have one. The pages weekendlazyness linked to should show you how to do both.

First of all-

Do you have a firewall? Router?

Then we can help.

I have a DSL connection through 2Wire....

I honestly have no idea if it is through a router.

It's going through a USB Port. So I am assuming it's through a router.

My biggest question, is how do I find unused ports?

Most random numbers are unused ports. The port number 6114 should be un-used, I'm using that for various applications on my computer and it's fine. (Starcraft uses 6112, so thats not open if your playing starcraft online).

When I use Azureus to check for an open port, no matter what, it always says:

NAT error...
