Just a place for little questions that cna be answered in a heartbeat, you other guys, don't be afraid to use it:)
My little quick question is...
How do you make an attack likr the Lurker's, but stops when it hits the Target. What i'm doing is, i'm making a Beam attack for the battlecruiser that hits the traget, but hurts everything in its path. Don't want it going astray!
I tried tinkering around i Arsenal 3 changing the splash type, but i don't think i got it right. Line splash alone didn't work and i can't seem to get the radius right, if it is actually supposed to have one.

I think you just change the splash to line splash and than the splash radius to 32,32,32 at least that's what I do and it works

Edit: It didn't work:( I think that the radius determines the radial splash around the target, even if the splash type is set differently. Copying the data of the Lurker doesn't work either...

You may not know this, but the only difference between line splash and Radial is that Line doesn't hurt friendlies and radial hurts everyone. Thats the only real difference.
And to go 32,32,32 instead of like 12,24,48 all that means is that 75%,50%,25% of damage done is all done at one range, 32. So those are the only differences, good luck and happy hunting:).

I really don't know. I'm not even sure if it's possible or not, frankly.

Wow, I've been trying to do this with a Scout Hero's ground attack. So far I've been unsuccessful also :confused: Now that you mention the Lurker attack though, what if you change all the damage properties of the laser to match those of the Lurker's spines? I'm in school right now so I can't check, I'll look into it when I get home in about 4 hours. It might be something that you can't change in Arsenal III. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the world's best modder. Let me know if you figure it out though because I've been trying the same thing.

Case_in_point, you may have a different problem. The Scout has no flingy (if my memory is correct) so the damage cant be done en route. It can have radial splash when it hits the target though.
As for setting the setting the same as the Lurker, still doesn't work.
Unless...
I tried it with the tank one day, gave it a laser. The laser goes past the target and only damages where the sprite is formed. But the tanks never had a flingy be default anyway, so it may just be converted into radial splash, despite the Line splash setting. Then again, the laser did continue past the Target like the Lurkers Spines, so i don't know what to make of it.
Rhino does know, so it IS possible so we'll have to wait for his return (he'll be back in about 3 days i think. He's got something to do)
Remember The Valkyrie in Terran Doom! Thats the Lurker type weapon for you!
