I have a question, is it possible to make the cpu enemies see the players' hidden units without using detector units (observers, science vessels, etc.) ? I've tried placing map revealers and scanner sweeps but that didn't work. Also, is there a simple way to make sure all of the cpu's have shared vision on with each other, or do i have to create a lot of triggers (i've marked the "Shared Vision" slot in the Forces settings, but i think that does't give SV, it just enables it, right ?).

Question 1: Use shared vision.
Question 2: Marking shared vision in the forces setting should work, as long as the computers you want with that vision are in the same force.

Triggers:
FORCES
-Player 1
CONDITION
-Always
ACTION
- Run Ai Script "Turn on share vision for player 2"
Doing that, player 1 could see player 2.

*Yikes* I was about to solely point to the FAQ thread (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=7391) and that it was already answered in there, but guess what? No, it wasn't. Afterall, I've made it in my revamp aid out.
None the less I'll leave a small bit just related to SCMDraft 2's TrigEdit since the issue was already replied to. ;)
SCMDraft 2’s note: In there, the AI script for sharing vision with player 1 is named “+vi0” and the unsharing vision for the same player is “-vi0”. For the next player (aka player 2 ;)) those scripts are named “+vi1” and “-vi1”, respectively. Then it goes on and on rising the number for the script until it reaches player 8, which the number to be used in the script is 7.

*Yay* A double Fronter sighting... 0_o this is much more than my heart can handle at once.
Try to drop by more often, will ya?
Adding to what he said, the regular StarEdit doesn't allow ya to access some of it's trigger/units amongst others. They're generally hidden and the SCXE modes switched their ID flags to be seen and that's why we refer to'em as being kinda normal since they were in the original map editor afterall, but only out of sight. ;)
That is also appliable to the other more known map editors, such as SF and SCMDraft 2, btw.
