i cant figure out how to work the triggers on the editor! im used to the Extra Editor and normal stareditor trigger type lol and then i went to starcraft.org and it said somthin about how the "Classic Trigedit" makes it so the trig editor is like extra editor but when i open it or try everythign that i can think of to make it work it just pops up with the Realplayer and says "Real player cant open this type of file"!!!! i hope u understand what im saying...
Woah, woah, woah... calm down a minute. I just hope to have slightly understood what you're saying.
1st of all, which version of SCMDraft 2 are ya using? I do hope it's the more recent one that already brings the Classic TrigEdit plugin inside the setup package. If not, you'll have to dl the plugin and place it inside the "plugin" folder at the SCMDraft 2's folder directory. Doin' this and trying to open it from inside SCMDraft will assuredly do the trick. ;)
2nd (and if you're sure that *.sdp files aren't associatated to Real Player), that error msg shouldn't appear. The main reason is that you don't and mustn't open the plugin alone and another one is that in my PC, the *.sdp files (read, the plugin file types) are unknown by default on the OS's account (only by previous change or by setup commands it would be different).
Most likely, and assuming that you have an Windows OS, it's a file type association wrongly done or dealt with. To fix that bad file association, you'll have to follow this (http://www.warboards.org/showpost.php?p=159822&postcount=10). Of course am assuming that this has something to do with it from the get go, which I think it may not be this particular case since you've said to have tried opening the plugin. :)
Btw, welcome to WB's. ^_~
