Diablo 2 vs. Half-Life on Gamspy! Blizzard game needs your support!!!

This is for all SC and other blizzard game players!!!

As you may know, Gamyspy is hosting the best game title fight between the greatest games ever. And if any of you check www.diabloii.net from time to time, you would know that D2 is been winning since the first match...BUT we are losing againts Half Life

the reason i am posting this is cause what gamespy did was very wrong and cheap.

Just before the the final match, they only allowed registered users to vote...and you can register its basicly takes 1 minute. But a lot of D2 players dont know this and on the vote page, there are no links to register and it doesnt say anywhere that u have to register to make your vote count...many people dont know about the register thingy...and when they vote, gamespy doesnt tell them that their vote didnt count...thats really lame and cheap.

finally, since Half life is a FPS, and probably 99% of all FPS use gamespy servers to play the game, it is self explanatory that they are already registered... (kidna like this forums..whenever u coem to post, you dont need to log in every time..)

I know that D2 has nothing to do with Starcraft BUT D2 is a blizzard game and we both play on battle.net after all.

Diablo 2 has a huge ass fan based community therefore, but because Half life have advantage, we are losing by 2700 votes.

Starcraft and other blizzard games can make the difference since blizzard games have the biggest community in the gaming industry Please, go and support the blizzard product we are in disadvantage right now..

by the way, all Half Life mod players (like counter strike, team fortress, day of defeat) are also voting for half life thats why we are losing.

I think i am talking about whole d2 community when I ask u to register and vote for d2. Most of us already voted and we have 5k votes already.. but we get hardly 1 vote every minute (i checked) and if only starcraft could vote, we have a chance of beating the cheap ass corrupted gamespy.

Diablo was a great game but once you beat it you beat it, can go play on bnet with friends but that gets old. HL has so many mods for it, CS kept me playing it a lot longer tahn D2.

lol wrong half-life lost 4k votes over the last match, before they they made the rule change there high was 11k, higher then anyone else. and they won't even reach that even with three and half days of voting. D2 was not the only game that had bots running, fact is alot of games had bots running even starcraft :P in that free for all they did not even hit 5k.

Could you really see Diablo 2 being a greatest game of all time? Sit back from the computer and think about it for a moment. Were the graphics the greatest for it's time? How was the storyline? How many memories of the game do we really have of it? What's the memories stack up when we first played SMB3, or Doom via lan? Much more so was the experience for Half Life, I still love playing the single player version of that game alone, much less what it's done for single player games.

Diablo was a great game, and I do have a soft heart for blizzard games, but look what IGN said about the game:

It's fun for a while, but ultimately is very, very repetitive and hard on your clicking finger. A great overlay map, interface, and skill system are nice but the buggy code is frustrating.

I don't take IGN as the Bible, but what they said was fairly close to the truth.

Half Life and Mario, is what I would like to see in the finale, both I have very much more fond memories of.

Bah, now I am feeling regret. I rememeber the old days of playing Half-Life and the slightly newer and 300,000X more fun Red Faction on the PS2. Yea, I should have voted for HL.
