Why are starcraft and halo being compared. They are both succesful and have humans and aliens thats about it. halo is an FPS(first person shooters) starcraft is a RTS(real time strategy). so if u say the humans would own the terrans....well the humans couldn't have bases,mass units and etc they only got master chief and some other marines

And third, let people compare Halo and SC, all there saying is if the Halo people were in SC that Halo (or SC) would own the other game. Really I havn't noticed this though..

And it might spark an idea for a new map of some kind in SC. *cough* ^_^ One other thing, if I may be so bold. Did you consider the fact that by creating a thread about how insipidly stupid it is to compare Halo and Starcraft... You compared them yourself? Don't judge. It'll generally bite you in the ass when you aren't looking. ;)

What I mean is that most americans I know when I start a debate with them, they always go for the dumbest comment like.....WHy are you saying that? they don't have to do one thing with another..what I really want to say is that most americans have to compare two things that has something in common and are difficult not to compare because they can't think hypothetically..

simple.the US is the most powerful country in the world in weapons technology. we have enough nuclear weapons to blow up have the world.so we think that we are superior to everyone else

I think we're being just a little stereotypical here. I'm Canadian, and I've met Americans. I know a lot of Americans, both face-to-face and on here. Some of them are stuck up and overly nationalistic. So are some Canadians. But they're just as diverse in personality and other standpoints as the rest of the world. I'll put it this way, since we're in the StarCraft forum. People aren't the Zerg. We don't have Cerebrates controlling how we think of them, ourselves, and other people and countries.

If we're going to diss a country in the way most of you have stated, we direct it to their government. Stats are basically just showings of how the gov't is doing things. The US prides itself as a free and powerful country - the United States, and it's reflected in the statistics of how the majority of people feel. Canada's government (and lately most provincial governments) focus more on the individual level, which makes the country a better place at a glance, but the country also falls apart every so often. People like to live there because of the notion that our government cares.

That's basic.

Sorry about the rant. I get off on the stupidest topics. Now, let's get this thing back on the thread.

Oh, and I guess I should take this moment to thank Lumosa Brood for being so needlessly biased and bringing up such a touchy subject ;) .
