Whenever i make a game no1 ever joins it no matter what title it has. My friends say the latency is too high. I just got dsl and it goes way faster. When i had dial up this wasnt a problem, though i lagged a lot. Now i dont lag but nobody can join my games. There was about a month before i got dsl and a month afterwards where i never tried to make a game so that might be a coincidence. Somebody help!!!
:(

Go to C:\Program Files\StarCraft and delete "bncache." This won't mess anything up. It will get rid of the Battle.net records of your overall latency and it will be completely decided on your connection speed when you next go onto Battle.net. Usually you can then host a game for your friends. Sometimes you have to delete it inbetween every game, but to be able do this at all to lower expected latency is good. (Latency differs from lag, if you experiences lagging on Battle.net, you'll still have trouble with that when you play).

I've helped tons of people with this problem (including myself). You most likely have either a router or a DSL modem that supports two (or more) connections, which would mean it has a built-in router. If not, then you have a software firewall, which just needs an exception to be created for Broodwar. It's probably the router, though. Which means certain ports for Broodwar need to be forwarded. If you want, I can help you, PM me your MSN info and I'll message you.

Yeah, I believe the ports in question are 6112 to 6119.

Yup, 6112-6119 TCP and UDP protocol. Also 4000 (TCP/UDP), but I think this may be only for d2 and custom games on wc3.
