On your keyboard press 'Alt' + 'Print Scrn' while StarCraft is running. The Print Scrn key should be on the top right of your keyboard, after the F12 function. In the game, itl show a yellow text saying a screen shot has been saved. The screen shot should be saved as, something like "screen00.pcx" in your StarCraft Directory. If not, use the search to find it. I don't think mspaint can open .pcx files, I tried, it doesn't. So you got to use another paint program to open.

try IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) for converting your screenshots into jpgs for websites ;)

(Yeah I know the name sounds cheesy but considering the creator's native language what do you expect? And the best part is its free :D )

Yeah, I like Irfanview. I needed to use it to get quotes from SC for one of my fics, and later it helped me make some custom Metroid avatars (along with VCW Vicman's Photo Editor, shareware edition). Now if only I could find some free Wolf games :( .

Some keyboards you can just press print screen, some you need to use shift, and some have a screen shot button.

Theres also programs for non-ingame screen shots, but your not asking about that >>

I don't think pressing the Alt key is really necessary. Or maybe on some keyboards it is.

/me has 'that' dejá vu feeling *
Beware that IRFanView installation pack sometimes comes bundled with spyware (namely, the setup *.exe). Alas, I've felt it in my shoes before. And nothing too serious... that this (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=4133) couldn't cure. ;)

Using Alt with print Screen will only make it copy from an open window. Say you have a window of some program that takes up half the page and you want to take a screenshot of just that. On most keyboards, you would press Alt+Print Screen and it would only make an image in the clipboard of the selected window or program. There are some keyboards where you need to use AL or Fn to use Print Screen, but on most you do not.
