Please try to make a tower to autocast a spell and if it works your way tell me :)
*Sighs and starts thorough explaining* For the Towers to cast in auto mode you must 1st choose a spell that has that capabillity, such as for instance Heal, Cold Arrows or Frost Armor.
Note: These should be better off if chosen from the Neutral abillities, since those generally don't need to have their Tech Tree dependencies checked and changed to false if needed.
And then you must give to that Tower mana capabillity and perhaps also mana regeneration points as well. This said, I'm hoping that now you understand what have said about "done properly" in that other thread. >_<
Now head here (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=12035) for an example solution to your case, which have made last night.
Edit add (additional piece of info): Btw, there's small button above each member's avy's in their posts that spells "PM" (as in Private Message) and you should've clicked there for this. *Hint, hint (for another day perhaps)* ;)

Yes, true, but if you could, or just had written the name as, how to make towers cast spells (the right way) .... or something, this post would be very good, since basan made a really good explaination!

even with autocast abilities, the actual game trigger is that a unit of yours is attacked. to cast anyway, have the ability based off a normal ability and use triggers.
(events - unit owned enters x of tower
conditions -
actions - order tower to (insert ability) entering unit)

Thanks. That means something to me, since I've only been around WC3-TFT (playing and mapping) for a month now. And maybe a mod will come around soon to do that merging I've suggested anyway. ;)
