Hey I found out that you can put the ability....Wander(neutral) on one of your units and as soon as you create it......it will just wander by itself..........
or you can put it on creeps and make them wander too.
(its like a computer on its own)
Wander is an abitite made just for the little animals on the standard melee maps because you also see them walking around never staying in the same place, it would be an ok idea to give creeps wander like if u made a WoW like map.
You are right Dayoh, but youdon't know a glitch in it. It's true that "Wander" ability makes the units move from one place to another... But looks like you don't know the way it works. the Wandering unit, ( Means the unit which has wander ability ) tends to roam randomly, true, But have you ever noticed in melee games that the wandering critters tend to run away from ur or comp's units? They naturally tend to run away to Neutral Hostile or Neutral Passive units it they are approched by someone.. So if you give ur unit that ability, thenur units will also be wandering, they will make attack or two on enemy and try to run back to your town hall ot nearby neutral passive unit. That's true man I've tried it. It's damn hectic job to handle this running away troops... Never think of using it for ur units...

better to do it with triggers...

i have noticed this too but true i dont know how it fully works

if you want only 1 unit to wander, you can use polar offsets and random numbers for angles.

Ok, so you can make it this way... A trigger
Event:
- A unit owned by Player aqquires a target.
Conditions:
- Owner of Targeted Unit is enemy of Player
And in actions, Remove the Wander ability from The unit that has aqquired a target...
This really involves a complications.. Wait a bit let me try it out I'll post a complete trigger.. Now I am just dropping hint, like complete blind.

event: every __ seconds
actions:
pick every unit in <neutral hostile units>
if (random#) = 1
order picked unit to attack move to point with polar offset (set the angle and magnatude to random applicable numbers)
