How do i make custom abilities like in DOTA?

okay

#1 your question is way too generic, which spells do you want...Black Hole, Juxtapose, etc....
#2 most spells from dota are trigger enhanced (which im not too experienced in, but i know my way)
#3 and also you might want to add some things if someone helps you out bcuz if a person is playing your game and he/she sees the same blackhole from dota... they might say somthing like "bah this game is just a dota copy" or "this guy cant even think of his own spells!"

to make custom spells:

for basic custom spells, use the ability editor . its pretty simple, shouldnt take more then 10-15 minutes to get the gist of it.

for spells that cant be done by modifying base spells, you gotta trigger them.
an example of a partially triggered spell:

events:
a unit begins the effects of an ability (btw, always use this action for spellcasting events)
conditions:
ability being cast equal to polymorph
actions:
set vertex coloring on target unit of ability being cast to 100/50/25 with 25% transperancy

you can also use dummy abilities like channel to make spells where the actions are fully triggered.

You open 'World Editor', and press F6. Voila.

Am i missing something here? when i press F6 i get the object editor!!! could this have to do with the fact i only own roc?

Stupid quick reply thingy, couldn't just write "Yes!!", anyway YES! i does have something to do with it, since the object editor would have a neet spell editor in it, in tft!

Can you make it clear exactly what you have? Some time you say you have TFT, sometimes you say u have RoC , and sometimes u insist upon that you have Nothing ! Be a clear enough !!!

open object editor,then go to file or one of those tabs up there and look for the tab "view" or something, it will have checkmarks on everything you want to edit, this is made for if you only want to edit unt names or something, its for less clutter and confusion.
