My next up-and-coming map is the first part of a campaign called "Whispers of Desolation". It combines Free RPG style with normal Starcraft battles and is also sometimes just a straightforward RPG. Of course, you don't get all these elements at once, and the first map, for example, focusses entirely on the RPG element, as well as building the plot. Anyway, level 1 is complete, although it will go through a little more testing before I am satisfied that it's ready and then I'll post it on SC.org and, of course, here. It's also probably the last map that I will make with the SC editor, now that I have SCXE... So long as SCXE doesn't prove too difficult to use!

Uh, ok?
If you are trying to promote your campaign I suggest redoing your post and tell us the characters, show some screens, some background about the story, and who the main character is. Because currently (no offense) your post more or less sounds like "Hey! I am doing this new cool RPG/SC battles campaign and it should be out soon!"
 Big deal

About half an hour. You see, the last time I tried to dl an editor it was 70 MB and there was no way I could possibly ever download it because me net cuts off after 5 hours.
Uh, thanks for that comment, maker, I hadn't decided to put anything up because it will take longer for me to get screenshots etc than it will for me to put up. Anyway, I kind of WAS saying that I had a 1-player campaign coming out... I forgot that nobody here knows me lol.
Alright, I'll have a go at putting up some screenshots/info as well as posting it.

I think your campaign sounds great, but I hope it's small enough for you to upload :)

Really! 70 MB! Maybe you were downloading the shifters by mistake or something, the editors I know of are only 5 MB.
Newest version of SCMDraft that I know of is 3.180 mega.
SCXE alltogether is 9.588 mega, but I'd suggest you to only get Basic and Special - 4.854 mega.
Starforge is only 2.040 mega (that's not including visual basic).

Whispers of Desolation - By Omegastorm
The campaign follows the story of Jason, an orphan and a survivor, who is trying to make a life for himself in a tiny colony on the outskirts of the great wasteland - a by-product of an age-long war.
By comparison to the wastelands where he was raised, the colony is a virtual paradise. Unfortunately, Jason's time there is brief, and events are set in motion which will carry him far from the small colony, and into the depths of a horrifying secret, to end in a massive confrontation with forces far beyond his wildest imaginings...
The beginning of the "Whispers of Desolation" campaign saga focusses on Jason's history, his day-to day life, and his eventual exile from the colony. It combines free RPG style with the gritty action of a conventional campaign mission, without the involvement of massive armies. Depending on how you play, the first mission has two possible endings and could take from around 15 to 30 minutes to complete.
Note: For best results, turn off Unit Acknowledgement in the "Sounds" option panel.
(Sorry, I couldn't get any screenshots. I tried, but I can't edit them and they look black)

And there's also a strategy guide for it.

try that link to convert your screenshots to jpg and they will be the norma picture. set the quality to 80 when saving and they will be much smaller.
the link to the map wasnt working for me
Or... get IrFanView and open the pictures in a full quality *.pcx.
Get IrFanView here (http://www.download.com/IrfanView/3000-2192-10021962.html?part=dl-IrfanView&subj=dl&tag=button)

Yes, several people have alerted me to that bug, I think I may have put it in while fixing some other bug... anyway it's fixed now, though the fixed version isn't up yet. I'll just upload the map for you here.
And I'll try and get that program, hope it's not too big!

Oh lol... you said it converts the screenshots to *.jpg so I though it's some other program; IrFanView does not convert images, it opens them in their original format.

However, it does allow you to save them as *.jpg's, so I don't understand the problem.

He had the map link wrong "...starcraft.ord...". But you can get it anyway if you browse the map tutorial page he provided and see that a link to it (duh map) is there also. ;)
