While was searching *Cough*Google (http://www.google.pt/search?q=starcraft+map+fifth+base)*Cough* for a map that 'someone' asked help about around here, found out this (at an well known encyclopedia) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gameplay_of_StarCraft) amidst the search engine's results and felt that had to post it. ;)
Unbelievable... and simply amazing, imho. The influence of SC grows even beyond the common boundaries and gets into the knowledge/cultural departament.

Will this meant that one of the oldest and most lasting games around be etarnal for our kids to revere at (as we sorta do already)? :)
Please post your C & C's about this and try to keep it clean (read, unspammy).

That's awesome. Starcraft is in an encyclopedia. Good find, Basan.

StarCraft is everythign and everywhere. It surrounds us, it consumes us, you can see it always, for it is truely the semblance of everything. I've written a paragraph in Wikipeia's StarCraft section before. You should the effects of StarCraft and the internet in Korea.

Uncyclopedia.org also has some interesting articles on Korean and StarCraft.

That not really that impressive, sorry. Wikipedia is an OPEN encyclopedia. Anybody can submit articles. Thousands upon thousands of StarCraft fans could have submitted that piece. If StarCraft was in an encyclopedia that you must buy in a store in book form, I'd be much more impressed.

And for that Blizzard game to be StarCraft is even cooler.

Yeah, that isn't impressive. Since wikipedia is open, all it takes is one person who likes something to submit an article about it. This makes wikipedia all-knowing though, which is purty derned cool.

I know it's an open source encyclopedia and that's why it's owners/staff re-checks all articles submitted and/or edited. As you can see as well, only a few parts of that article aren't 'aproved' by'em, so most of it stands as an acknowledged part of that encyclopedia. ;)

And if it was in an 'solid' encyclopedia (read books format) it was much more impressive, I agree but that's what we've got for now. :P

Seriously, every noob should read this. It is for sure no idiot has written it from 10 games of experience, no, the writer of this actually has made some effort, knows what he talks about, and has a good vision of the starcraft history and universe. I recommend it to anyone interested in starcraft universe, and to less experienced players trying to find a advice. Or even more experienced players. That stuff is well written, so it's actually fun to read it too.

In fact, we could make this sticky or something, possibly here, possibly SC strategy. It tells so many things what you SHOULD do in games many times.

 *Meh* Never thought of it that way but the links to pro-playing sites may give me the heads up to everyone who read it. Good idea, though. :)

SC IS everywhere, like, its a paid job and has 3 channels or more in korea...

Also, its ever-changing with the map editor and the ability to play with other minds on a balanced game.

Yeah, I wish I was paid for the mods that I did. I bet it would be popular in Korea since it sold over 3.5 million copies there.

Practically every male Korean I knew has played starcraft sometimes in their lives. This fills me up to the neck with sterotypes :P.
