The boar asserts, "Man is the only real enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished for ever. Man is the only creature that consumes without producing. He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plough, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits. Yet he is lord of all the animals."
::::
Old Major does know a few things though. He boldly warns all of them, "Your resolution must never falter. No argument must lead you astray. Never listen when they tell you that Man and the animals have a common interest....we must not come to resemble him...No animal must ever live in a house or sleep in a bed, or wear clothes, or drink alcohol, or smoke tobacco, or touch money, or engage in trade."
:::::
You are ushered into the barn. Young and innocent to all that has happened here. And the old mare is telling the stories as is her job. To teach the young ones. She tells them of Napoleon and the evil snowball, how he tried to sell them all back to farmer Jones. The mare can not remember the names very well and as Napoleon would say. "It is not as important as it once was." As he tells of the animals and the windmill a pig breaks in. He walks slowly up to the mare, his head hangs low as he does. He then proceeds to wisper into the mares ear and she weeps.
"My dear Comrades. I have sad, sad news. Napoleon is dead. He died in his sleep and there is to be a mighty funeral. All the animals are asked to attend. It would be our beloved comrades wish that his friends wish him a fond farewell." Moses pipes up. "He has gone to sugarcandy mountain, were all animals go when they die." and then he flew away. "Please, please sleep now my beloved animals and be ready for the mighty funeral." He then turns and walks back, on two legs to the house. He enters and the dogs are left to watch, but to your amazement, three of the dogs leave the house and head toward the windmill. As you look around wondering what has just happened a nervous white pig makes its way into a stall...
.... O.K. lets give it a shot. you get to pick an animal. simple barn animals please. anything special please PM me. The only exception is NO PIGS!! I have reserved the white pig for mister grass dragon if he so chooses. Name: Goose
Animal: Pig
~
Goose watched as the pigs scurried back and forth from the house and the barn. Something must have really wound them up. They wobbled on their two legs, nearly falling over. They were better now than when Goose was young, but pigs still weren't meant to walk on two legs.
The pigs were always scurrying around about something, never could sit still. Whether they were worrying about the animals working, or the surplus food stores, or the amount of ale in their cup, they never could just sit still for one moment. But Goose could relax.
A dog walked towards the windmill. Soon it was right in front of him, whispering in his ear. "Napoleon is dead," he said. Goose nodded. He was dead. It was about time too, he was getting old. His body was old, but his rule was old too. The animals were tired of it. Tired of being over worked and underfed. As much as the pigs tried to hide it, the animals were beginning to notice.
They needed a new leader now, and who better than Goose? He could already see the animals bowing down to him, singing songs of praise. He shook his head. He was getting ahead of himself. He would step in and lead the farm, and lead it like nothing any of the animals had seen before. He would rule kindly, not like corrupt Napoleon had. The animals would have more food than ever and work less than they had even with Mr. Jones there. It would be Sugar Candy Mountain at Animal Farm. Then they would praise him. Then they would sing him songs. Then they would give him awards and bow at his feet.
He had better introduce himself if he was to take over the farm. He edged around the windmill and peered out across the field between him and the barn. Goose had been watching animal farm from the safety of Foxwood for a long time, but now that it was time to approach it he was afraid. What if they rejected him? What if they recognized his ancestry? Many of the animals would hate him if they knew who his father was, if only because Napoleon told them to. He would keep that a secret at first. When they trusted him he would tell them.
Goose took his first steps out from behind the windmill, keeping all four of his legs firmly on the ground. He would shock them straight from the start, employing one of Old Major's rules that had gone all but completely ignored. Three dogs followed him. He didn't expect trouble, but you never could expect what could happen.
He pushed the barn door open with one hoof and walked inside, his troop of dogs fanning out behind him.
"Hello, Animal Farm," he said. "My name is Goose. And I'm here to help you in your time of need."
(OOC: My browser crashed on me and I had to retype this, so if it seems a little incoherent, that would be why. I'm sure you get the gist of it though :P)

"What's the noise here?!Can't some chickens sleep?!"
The sleepy roosster and the other chickens woke up grumpily.
"Hush!Go to the barn!"
BirdB lead his clutch of chickens to the barn, where other animals were rushing in.They were whispering to each other, probably something has happen. He questioned a nearby sheep.
"What is going on here?"
"Haven't you heard?Napolean is dead!"
The chickens weren't in quite a shock, but continued their footsteps to the barn.As they entered,
"Hello Animal Farm.My name is Goose. And I'm here to help you in your time of need"
OOC:Heh,a short one.

It was morning in Animal farm and all the animals were asleep for it had been decreed that no w rk be performed on this blessed day. As the Animals stirred A pig came in wearing a starched shirt and tie flanked by two dogs who growled at everyone to get up.
"My fellow animals, as you well know our beloved savior Napoleon has passed away and gone to the sugarcane mountains. He looks down upon us now wishing us well in our venture but he wanted the news to be brought to you his blessed followers first. It appears our sucess here has been greeted all around our beloved Britain. No more shall pigs and animals be tormented by man. We have expelled them all in one foul swoop. The animals, both savage and civilized have overtaken them. Either throwing them off our island or placing them in Zoo's for our amuzement. Today while it is a day of mourning is also a day of jubilation. Be happy that our land is ours! Be joyful that our land shall not live under the oppresive reqime that is man!!"
And with that the pig left.

Goose woke quietly, stirring on his bed of straw. He opened his eyes to look around. Only his three trusted dogs surrounded him. No one had talked to him last night, whether because of the loss of Napoleon or the anouncement that all humans were now in zoos or exiled. This was a great accomplishment, but that fact that Goose's introduction had gone nearly completely unnoticed bothered him. This was the not the way to start a leadership.
He gathered his thoughts and made his way out into the barn proper. Most of the animals were alreay awake and about there business. He would get no conversation with them. The only animals that wouldn't be working now were the pigs, and he wanted to save his first experience with them until after he was already well known with the other animals.
Still, if he stood in the barn long enough, with his dogs surrounding him, eventually one of the animals would venture to take a break from his work to ask Goose what he was doing. And when that happened, Goose would give his speech.
<tag an animal. Why don't we have more RPers here?>

As the Animals of the farm got ready, the pigs suddenly began scrambling around. Dogs were sniffing wildly as if looking for someone. The pig comes to the front of the Barn.
"My fellow Animals. It apears there are traitors among us. Those that do not feel the way we feel. Those that do not want our Beloved farm to contiue. I say to thee Route them out! They are the rot wich will halt our advancement! They are in league with the farmers! the humans!"
He pauses to give thought
"It is unfortunate but neccesary to have new rules placed upon us, for the good of Animal farm of course. A curfew shall be in effect from dusk till dawn. No animal shall venture out. It is of course for your own protection. Long live Animal farm!"
With that the pig turns around, but before he leaves.
" It is unfortunate that this has marred our activities, but i see it as unsafe that we should celebrate in this time of need. We must protect those wich we call friends. And anyone with information on the culprits is encouraged to bring them forth. They shall be duly rewarded with a weeks rations. We shall wait till the culprits are caught to celebrate. Napoleons body shall lay in state untill said time that we put this event behind us."
He then turns and leaves and you think you notice one of the dogs wink, maybe.

If you have read the book by George Orwell you know there is no point in playing unless you are a pig.

An hour has past since the pig came in and made his announcement. All is quiet and all the animals are in turmoil
"We should get to work. Napoleon would have wanted that. I loved Napoleon." said a horse nearby
The chickens muttered agreement.
A lone crow simply muttered something under its breath and took off through the front door.
All was quiet for only a breef moment as then shots were heard and then lots of yelling and more shots.
<occ> All the pigs are dead and the dogs were missing and/or are chasing around. go from their and take it were you might.

Mass chaos surrounded Goose. Chickens were racing along the ground, flapping their wings wildly, from the direction of the house. They were all screaming but nothing could be understood.
A gunshot.
The chickens jumped into the air. Many of the other animals now began to move around. Guns had no place at Animal Farm. Another shot, and now the animals were talking loudly. The barn had exploded into movement and sound. No one really knew what was going on. It seemed that they were as confused as Goose was. A few more gunshots went off before anyone thought to go check the house.
Goose gathered his dogs and followed behind the pack of animals rushing to the front door. The animals screamed; the pigs had all been shot.
"It's the death of Animal Farm!" a chicken shouted.
"Who had all the guns?" a horse asked.
"Two legs bad!" the sheep shouted in chorus.
Goose pushed his way to the front of the group.
"Attention!" he said. He couldn't be heard over the animals' wailing. "Attention!" he shouted again. His dogs barked and the crowd quieted a little.
"We have witnessed a great tradgedy." The animals murmured their approval. Goose thought quickly on his feet for an explanation. "A rogue band of humans has escaped from a nearby zoo and is terrorizing farms across the countryside. I have just received word of this from a messenger, it is sadly true." The animals gasped.
"It seems that I am the only pig left on Animal Farm, our great capital of the animal kingdom. I have decided to give my talents, my skills, my life to preserving Animal Farm. We cannot let the words of Old Major be forgotten. We will route out these vandals – no, these criminals – and we will bring peace to the land. We will take it upon ourselves, as citizens of Animal Farm, to protect the country, all other farms, from the humans. If there is a shooting, we will come to their aid. If the humans pillage a farmland, we will come to their aid. If a zoo is overrun by those filthy creatures, we will come to their aid." The animals cheered.
"And now I ask you, comrades, to rise to this calling, you have to be the ones that keep Animalism safe. For Animal Farm!" The animals cheered and clapped. A chorus of "Four legs good, two legs bad" began. Goose quickly calmed them. "Today we won't work, today we will give a proper burial to our beloved leaders. We will have a march and a parade for them. Tomorrow we will work again. But I will be developing a plan. I will stay in the house and plan our defense. And when the time comes, we will strike out against the humans!"
