I think it's just a ingame cinamtic or the title game screen.

They are on a Dropship, she is the leader of the mission, she could be adressing them thier orders.

Could of been a small picture that was blown up.

And maybe so, but overall Ghosts and Marines work for the same guy/group, right? I don't think it would be that uncommon that orders were assigned to a special operative Ghost to lead a team of Marines on a mission.

Perhaps the first mission of the game is not stealthy at all, but to escape you need to stay stealth. Say Nova needs to take out some guy, then blow up a computer that holds major data, but through the scouting they've obtained there is no possible way for Nova to sneak in through the defenses and accomplish the mission. What do you do then? Plan B, take some highly trained Marines with you and fight your way in. Once inside, the Marines do thier thing and Nova does her thing.

Well if it was Zerg, even more reason to have Marines around to help start a mission. Unlike the Terran, the Zerg's armies are huger in number, though they may have weaker troops, eventurally you run out of ammo, and I doubt Zerg hives have ammo clips laying around for Ghosts to pick up when assaulting the hive. So, what better way to make a first attack on the hive except a troop of well traiend Marines, a highly trained Ghost and enough ammo to cut the population of the Zerg Hive to pieces?

True, but in the Starcraft universe, only a trained Ghost operative has the ability to cloak, not a standard Marine.

Hmm, I do suppose that's true. But of course, if this was a new hive that has never made contact with Terran or Protoss forces, then no such items would be found.

About the ghosts working alone they do, but not all the time. Remember the "Amerigo" cinematic, the ghost set off the bomb at the end? Duran was a ghost and he needed marines to get into the Psi Disrupter. Well an infested Ghost who works for the Xel-Naga or with Alan Schezar? In SC 2 they should explain the heroes more in depth, I don't remember reading about Farenheit 451's Gui Montag, do you?
