"It is time."

Solistus looked Traken in the eyes.

"Our grand plans to retake control of the city and launch an offensive have been rendered obsolete. We must strike directly at Prexis, immediately. There is no time. I fear that, one way or another, this will all end soon.

"I will not be able to stay in this realm for long. I regret this deeply, as things might have turned out different were this not the case, but it is not our place to argue with the march of time, inexorable and unforgiving.

"I have seen two paths this world may follow. One is the story of a terrible war, one I will not be a part of. My young apprentice, Khaemlyn will be the only Solarian present, and he knows little of the elders' ways.

"The other is far more terrible. It may very well lead to the end of this Universe, if not many more. It is best not to dwell too long on this possibility. Our only shot at preventing it from being realised is to attack Prexis, now.

"I know my words sound like madness, and perhaps they are. However, if we allow Prexis another second of time, all may be lost. Much has changed in recent times, and the future of this world is grim at best, but we must proceed."

Traken met Solistus' stare.

"What has brought about this change?" he asked, puzzled. "Why do we need to act, now, and what must we do?"

"I cannot reveal all the details at this time. Suffice it to say, in my journey through the Source, I felt Prexis' touch. He has accelerated his plans, and so should we.

"As a Solarian, I can sometimes view the strands of Time as they truly are. Normal worlds are far too complex in their natural state to make very accurate or precise predictions, but Prexis' meddling has drastically altered the nature of this Universe. There is only one plausible route out of total annihilation, and it includes our swift action against Prexis."

At that second, Arcbourn put a Deagle to each of the mages heads.

"Who are you?"

(OOC: Madman, it would probably be a better idea to explain how you got the drop on us. Don't you think we may have heard you coming? Also, do you really think it wise to tangle with Traken and Solistus? But if you like, we can continue it. It could even be fun. :D)
