Your "own heros"? As in custom heros, somthing like in WC3, or just how to produce them, or change names, or some such thing.

as in a like new graphics or something like that? because you can't do that with just campaign editors

you can change heroes names and stats like hp,attack, name, etc. by going to Scenario -> Unit and Hero Settings OR hitting control + shift + H

you cant create new units, only modify the ones that they have

Casper', I don't know if by "creating your own heroes" you mean to modify the existing ones, like Fwop said, or to be able to create'em in maps during game play because that is done with triggers.
And if you mean to make the heroes customized with new portraits, sounds and abilities or similar stuff like that - itt would have to involve some modding tools (http://www.warboards.org/showthread.php?t=9407). ;)

And allow me to welcome ya both into WB's as well. Just cruise the site for more interesting stuff or to simply enjoy the forums as most of our members does. Am hoping to see ya 'round more often too... if you wanna. :D

how about taking a normal unit and making it a "hero" in the sense that you can't train more of that certain kind of unit unless it is currently dead?

Sort of like an Altar of Kings mechanic?

Tendercare, that would require a single trigger that he can easily figure out himself.

C: Bring at least 1 unit to somewhere
C: Current player controls at most 0 hero
A: Remove 1 unit at somewhere
A: Create 1 hero at somewhere
A: Preserve trigger

So I'm guessing it's a little bit more tricky than that.

That's also doable by modding. Here's a tut' on how to make Civilians trainable (http://www.smempire.org/tutorials/trainablecivilians.php) and I think that it can be (easily) done to heroes as well. ;)

Beware that MemGraft is also outdated, even being less than StarGraft, ok? ;)
