Anyways, I'll stick with my original opinion. I believe it should be some blaring colour until finally read, in which it reverts to its original colour... except that can't happen for now.

Nope, nothin' switched. What you guys are speaking of? :o It doesn't show me anywhere in there how to show or even do these background changes you ppl speak of (just wanted'em for test purposes, since most likely I'll keep that old 'bleached' background if I can :)).

Ohhh... that thing. :smirk: Already seen it a couple of days back but since most of the times, imo, the announcements don't change that much or work (aka easily opened) for my browser usually I don't pay that much attention for'em. :P

Anyways I actually like the new blue announcement bar. It does draw attention to it, but at the same time it seems like a nice cool colored heading/border for the forum. Keep it the way it is and when theres an important announcement (that you need EVERYONE to see) then change the color or something and everyones eyes will snap to it..... mine did when it turned blue lol
