As some of you know, I recently came back to the US and somewhat competitive SC. These are two replays which I played earlier today with a friend of mine (noob1337). Please comment on my performance and the replays in general.

I'd advise you to take that off. I played terribly (so tired from jet lag), and there's no reason to subject them to such torture.

Ok..well, the 2 protoss did pretty good...the terran was...obviously a noob...
anyway, u did pretty good considering ur first games in a long time (i suppose...?)
however, a few comments would be develop faster! and remember those upgrades...;)

uh. If that is apm without any spamming, its fine for now. I, for one, have 105 apm by average. But thats because I dont ever spam, except on the beginning. theFazant never spams, and i have a feeling he's much better than anyone here (dunno about hayley, but she never posts).
Fazant has about 90 apm average. When you think about it, 63 apm after being a good time away from sc, and fazant who's being extremely good, makes only 30 moves per minute more. :D
One of my clan mate has 210 apm. Still, me having about ½ of his, I do everything much better and faster. Except spam.

thats why i said he needs to WORK on it...stay in the same language ;) And NO, u dont have to spam to get a high apm. When u do a lot of true micro, thats when ur action counts go up. When u think about it, only the first few minutes of the game is slow, while the rest of the game should keep u busy, what with constantly building units, using them, and then microing.

well... yea. If that's the case, everyone over here needs to work on their apm ;). but anyway, you're right, midnight could improve on it a bit, but still.

If spamming = repeated mouse clicks for no apparent reason, then no, I don't see the purpose of doing that.

yeah. spamming is that. Selecting drones and doing nothing with, just selecting again, pressing, like, 1 and 2 hotkeys to select 2 drones really fast again and again, and clicking them to move in somewhere like 10 times to get higher apm. These are the most used ones ;o.

Err...and why the heck do people do that? I'd rather be looking at the minimap than randomly clicking idiotically.

they wanna look cool and be "gosu" and respect with that. Some people say: "Spamming all the time keeps you fast, and then you got the apm when you really need it" or something like that.

lol...actually, if u look at first person replays, korean progamers almost always spam to get their apm...set rally for about 100 times or so...but like i said, good micro would bring ur apm up
