GameSpot's Exclusive Interview with 50 Cent
(javascript:launchGSL()
The video game industry has grown in ways that no one could have predicted, and it's begun to attract interest from a number of unlikely places. Whether it's authors such as Orson Scott Card having a hand in Advent Rising or actors such as Vin Diesel creating his own game studio and helping to shape The Chronicles of Riddick, games are starting to draw some considerable star power. The latest and best example is Vivendi Universal's upcoming 50 Cent: Bulletproof, an action game featuring hip-hop titan 50 Cent. You won't find a bigger artist around today, as his record sales have made him a juggernaut who currently rules the music charts. But does that success translate into great games? We had to find out for ourselves when the opportunity to speak to the man presented itself. We caught up with 50 and his crew as they passed through San Jose, a stop on their Anger Management tour, and talked to the man himself, his crew, and his game's producer in an exclusive interview. Given the sketchy nature of celebrity involvement with games, we were understandably skeptical of what Bulletproof is going to shape up to be and how 50 would be involved. Can someone so busy have time to keep tabs on a game in development? The answer may surprise you.
Anyone else think this shit is retarded. 50 Cent Game and Movie. A bet this game is going to do really well just because of 50 cents success in the music industry. What do you guys think.
