need help with models

I have warcraft III rain of choas and i need help with modeling. no i dont want to know how to make my own models. I simply want to be able to make a map where a hero has a differnt (already existing model) (example ghoul) model. i'm sure its simple but for my life i cant figure it out. i've tried manualy editing the exported "unit data" file the importing it but that fails! i also tried just editing "models" but that doesnt work because there are no options besides ok and cancel

A. Wrong board... this belongs in "WarCraft Foundry".

B. It's "Reign of Chaos", not "rain of chaos" lol...

C. To change unit models in maps, open the World Editor, press Module > Object Editor (in the upper menu).
Then select the unit you want, and in the units properties to the left double click the "Art - Model File" value.
Than select the new value you want from the list.

upps sorry about that. . . . Havent used warboards in about a month! and my spelling has never been that god

w8 a second there isnt anything called object editor under "module" object manager isnt what you ment and either is unit editor because i cant do it in either of them
perhaps my version of warcraft is too old its version 1.0. I'm going to update it and try agin!

Yeah im guessing that your versionis to old, seeing as how a lot of the editing options are not available untill like patch 1.13 (or somethin like that, i dont know exatly which). for example you can only use the units' missiles to use as an attacking pojectile in 1.00, and if you upragde your version, you can choose from all the missles, buffs and abilities (and more) that you want.

MAKES ME MAD! I downloaded update 1.18 (from blizzard.com) and activated it but it wont work saying a dozen or so files are missing. I might have to take this problem up with blizard!!!!!!!! Also the auto updater for battle net dosent work either! My cd is scratched up though i still have cd key it doesnt always work. like i cant install it on my dads pc. This is y i'm afrid of just unistalling and reinstalling!
