I am new to photoshop 7 and don't know anything about it. I got it yesterday. Can someone give me a link to where I should go to learn how to use all the tools and basic information or even tell me where to get the information. Also I have adobe image ready. What is the purpose of that?

It's www.n-sane.net RoP ;).
Some others:
- www.purephotoshop.com (has many advanced tuts, like making a full web template).
- acad.systemdark.com
- www.tutorialoutpost.com
- And finally Blue Sfear's Gigantic List of Tutorial Sites (http://www.bluesfear.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=20&t=2067&). Have fun :).
EDIT: Adobe ImageReady is used to animate pics (especially those you make in Photoshop, which is why it comes with photoshop). I made my sig's animation in it :D.

Thanks for the links. They are good. Anyway I have a new question but I didn't want to spam so I posted it here. So don't say I am thread reviving. Anyway I have a picture and I cropped a part of it. Now I want to resize it to the signature size. How do I do it. If you need the images to show me I will post them. Forget it. I know how to do it. I made my sig using photoshop. It is my first and the next one will be better.

Goto Edit---->Image Size.
Then set height to 125 and length to 500.
Here (http://www.thesouthernlegacy.com/forum/index.php) you can learn everything about Photoshop. =)

d00d is right. Internet forums are great for learning graphic design because you can get opinions from many different people really easily. That's something you can't do in real life.
I learnt all my graphic design skills at Soule (http://www.thesouthernlegacy.com/) which if you can't tell by the name, are the graphics forums where you'll see pretty much everyone you know learning every facet of graphic design.

I'm glad everyone liked my post :). Sometime I should try and go through all my favourites, lol.
Btw, why did TSL change their name to Soule?

Hm, I'm just wondering. For imageready, is there a way to save the .gif as less quality so that it ends up being under 19.5? I just spent a while on my new (albeit pretty bad) avy, and its 36k :( optimized as gif. Anyone?
BTW, I bookmarked this thread for the sites. I'm going to go over them sometime.

Your best bet is to reduce the palette size (You can usually cut the # of colours in half or more without losing too much), reduce the dimensions of the avatar, or (if you can) take a few frames out of the image.
The optimization process, as far as I know, just cuts out bits of images that repeat//overlap (It's hard to explain, but basically, if the second image has the same black blotch that the first image has, the second image will include a transparency, instead of redrawing the black blotch). This saves a lot of space on certain images, but in most cases, it doesn't do much. That's why I usually rely on cutting out useless frames and increasing the duration of certain frames.
EDIT: If you can't get it to work, send it to me and I'll have a go at it. email//msn : radlin_@hotmail.com

Actually, I just 'save optimized as' because it was the only way I could save it as a jpg, which is all WB will take. I could find nothing else that would save as WB accepted.
I'll try deleting some frames. The animation is nothing major, just WK across the top. I'll delete some, if that's not enough, I'll send you it and maybe you can help me.
EDIT: Cut the frames in half, now it is 22.3. I'll try making less.
EDIT: Wow, I figured out how. I just had to open the optimized one, select 4-up, and save it as 18k.
