Yay - Bungie has finally come out with the update that will purge cheaters and modders!

They say any and all modding will be a bannable offense. If you have anything on your XBox that is modified, you will be banned from matchmaking, no question.

About time!

Also - I got modded the other day, the guy had an über speed hack and auto-aim. Anyway - With a few well placed grenades I kept the bastard from his running riot. :P

Let's hope the BanHammer is all it's cracked up to be. I've only run into a little bit of modding here and there, but supposedly it's ruining the game for the upper level players.

It is. I know a few people that are in the 30's, and they say it's really hard to get a match with no modders. That's why they play custom games and TT with me. :P

"BanHammer" God, lol I love Bungie... they're such a cool company. Have they said any word about Halo 2 going to PC yet? I alas don't have an X-Box, so I have no idea how I'm good at Halo 1 on that thing. I do have Halo 1 for PC though, which is obviously why I want the second one! :P

I doubt that it'll detect more than 75% of hackers. Steam has launched numerous packages which allow server admins and other players to detect if someone is cheating, and because almost everyone computer has the distance cheat on it doesnt appear on. Some guy I knew played with me, and the pachage didnt detect his auto aim.

But luckily the bastards will be caught. I hate cheaters because theyre so..........teh CH3A4Tz0rs!

Don't get your hopes up. People still mod, and new ways of cheating are starting. People now are using standby again, and now they are able to lag people out. And people still could mod. Some guy was showing everyone how he could still mod without getting cought (I just hope he was bluffing).

You know there is a Halo 2 mod for the PC. It actually looks pretty cool, but I don't have Halo PC, so I never actually tried it.

*Ahem*.... well, I never play games where cheating is a big problem, and given A) I dont Have live, and B) when I do manage to play, I'm crap. I dont think I ever will...


But it is good that they are making it difficult for wanke- I mean cheaters to ruin the game, the will never be able to stop cheating completely, but if it is too hard then some or maybe even most people of that ilk will not bother. Lets face it, if they wernt lazy fuckers they would practice rather than cheat.
