DamN!BattleField 2 requires 516 mb RAM just to run the game!?I've been a great fan of the series and waited long just for the game to be out,and when I check the system requirments,it's 516 RAM!NO!!!I only have a lousy 256 RAM.Any one have this problem?

Time to get PS2/PS3 for Modern Combat

Haha. Welcome to the club. I'm upgrading my RAM soon enough and I'm buying a new graphics card. BF2 is too awesome to pass up, so I'm willing to go broke in order to play it. Good luck, because there's no way you can run Battlefield 2 on only 256 ddr.

Two things. 1) its 512MB, moron, not 516. and 2) its gonna run shitty on 512. I'd recommend 1GB, but since you are broke, um... yeah, you're better off getting the Xbox/Xbox 360/PS3 version.

You need to seriously calm down. A mistake is a mistake asswipe, so give him a break. And it runs fine on 512MB, my friend never lags, not even on 400% bots. So I suggest you stfu before you open your mouth again.

First of all, RAM is so damn dirt cheap these days I don't know why you can't afford it. It's like 40 or 50 bucks for 512 or even 1 GB of RAM.

You cannot set the number of bots in BF2. They can only be set to 16 in Single Player or to even the teams in MP. Please set your facts straight before you start correcting other people.

Drat, ZDS trumps me by 5 days. =P

Anyway, following his advice:

I don't have enough RAM either, and I'm betting this crummy ol' Celeron processor wouldn't be very useful for running the game.

Ram is fun. I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't have at least 512.

a funny thing tho -

my friend's computer counts his ram as 511, so the big games are all like "not enough ram"

haha.

Er....I think you should calm down too.

THe RAM pricing,it's not that cheap in my country. It can reach up to US$100.

Yeah, I know what you mean. In Florida its like... $80 USD for a 512MB stick. I haven't really looked, though. I don't need anything for my computer except maybe a better moniter. As for a video card for BF2, if you need one, I recommend what I have. At the NEX, its... what? $100? Not expensive, considering the prices at CompUSA...
