Hi folks,

Well, I was in a writing mood the other day, so I decided to sit down and write an editorial. It started out as an editorial about the possibility of Starcraft 2, and then evolved into a state of the Starcraft community along with an exhortation for everyone to be patient with Starcraft 2. It doesn't present any real new information, but might give some people a new perspective on the Starcraft 2 situation. It would be cool if they could make enhancements to the WC3 engine and use it for SC2. It's mostly just a waiting game at this point unless someone out there is ambitous enough to get a license from Blizzard to make SC2.

Inflicting the WC3 engine on StarCraft would be a travesty. Don't even think about it.

WTF u talkin about !!!??? The WarCraft engine loaded into Starcraft!!! OK. Just think about this:
you could-modify food for each character,well anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

P.S. i dont have warcraft...ive only played it

Just think about this.

The original Starcraft drew from the WarcraftII engine, however it was much more advanced.

The WarcraftIII Engine drew from the Starcraft engine and was more advanced in some respects and utterly annoying in others.

StarcraftII's engine will most likely draw more from the original Starcraft engine, although I imagine that it will most likely be reworked from top down.

They'll mostly make an entire new game engine instead of basing off an older one.
